I am an American Folk-Artist whose work is centralized in classic historical art history with western religious theories. In my latest work I appropriate classic visual vernacular and bring it into our contemporary space. With this critical understanding of the mediums and the history, I am able to fully articulate my abstract imaging making practice both technically and conceptually.
Through photography and printmaking, I am able to fully articulate my concepts and accurately self-reflect with visual communication, and language. By combining the technical with the historic I am also able to confidently experiment with unfamiliar materials to navigate my unfamiliar juxtapositions within myself and these image making practices.
